You could own an extraordinary one-off Technics SL-40CBT Direct Drive Turntable made into an original artwork by Otis Frizzell.
Thanks to Panasonic New Zealand – premium audio craftsmanship is meeting contemporary New Zealand art!
Acclaimed New Zealand artist Otis Frizzell has transformed a Technics SL-40CBT Direct Drive Turntable into an original artwork, and it could be yours. Even better, every donation made through this prize draw webpage will support your local hospice care.
Inspired by Eddie Floyd’s soul anthem Knock on Wood, Otis has reimagined the turntable as weathered timber planks, right down to the illusion of protruding nails. The textured wood effect is also a fitting tribute to the warmth and authenticity of listening to music on vinyl.
Click on the button above to make a donation of $5 or more and you’ll receive an entry into the draw to win this one-of-a-kind turntable.
When you make your donation can choose Hospice Tairāwhiti from the dropdown menu to make sure your donation supports your local community.
The prize draw closes at 5pm on 18 October 2026, with the winner drawn the following week.
By entering the prize draw, you’re not only in with a chance to own an extraordinary piece of New Zealand art and music culture, you’re helping hospice services continue to be there for people when they need them.
FYI – These donations are not tax deductible as they do not meet the definition of a ‘gift’ as per the IRD rules.
