and help raise vital funds for Hospice Tairāwhiti this Winter.
Throughout July and August 2026, gather your friends, whānau, workmates, classmates or teammates and take on a series of fun citrus-inspired fundraising challenges. Whether you’re hosting a bake-off, a dinner party, a juice stand, a craft session or simply dressing in citrus colours, every challenge completed helps support Hospice Tairāwhiti’s care for local patients and their whānau.

Why join the Citrus Challenge?
Every dollar raised helps Hospice Tairāwhiti to continue providing free care and support to local people and whānau living with an end-of-life diagnosis.
At the same time, we’re celebrating one of Tairāwhiti’s iconic winter treasures – our abundance of citrus.
Together, we’re turning Tairāwhiti’s excess of lemons, oranges, mandarins and grapefruit into something truly meaningful.
How it works?
Step 1: Register Your Citrus Crew
Choose a team name and register online.
Your team can be one person or one hundred.
Once registered you’ll receive:
• Your own fundraising QR code
• A place on our online leaderboard
• Access to challenge resources
• Bragging rights!
You’ll need:
• Team name
• Team photo (or business logo)
Step 2: Choose Your Challenges
Pick the challenges that suit your group.
Complete all ten challenges or simply choose your favourites.
Feeling adventurous? Swap one challenge for a Wild Card Challenge.
Step 3: Make, Bake, Create & Celebrate
Gather your team and start squeezing every drop of fun from winter.
Host events, take photos, share your progress and inspire others.

Step 4: Donate & Climb the Leaderboard
Add your fundraising totals throughout July and August.

Do I have to complete all ten challenges?
