Hospice Tairāwhiti is around 70% funded by Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora. This year we need to raise over $500,000 to continue to provide our current services free of charge to people with life limiting illnesses and their families.

Shop Donations:
Our hospice shop turns your donations into funds that support the work of Hospice Tairawhiti, ensuring that our services provided to patients and families remain free of charge.
We gladly accept high-quality donations at our shop during opening hours. If you have small household items, clothing, or other goods but can’t make it to town, we’ve got you covered! Simply give us a call, and we’ll arrange a pickup for your bagged or boxed items. Collections are available every Tuesday and Thursday morning within city limits.
For the safety of our shop staff and volunteers, please put your donations into small manageable boxes or bags. 5kg or less.
Please help us reduce our costs by not including unsaleable items.
