Volunteers are an essential part of Hospice Tairāwhiti. They play a crucial role within the organisation and are highly valued and appreciated alongside our paid staff.
We have a dedicated and experienced group of volunteers who are able to support patients and families. Tailored to the individual needs of patients, volunteers can offer support and company which can also allow carers sometimes out. Volunteers also support patients living in aged care facilities.
We also provide a biography service offering patients the chance to document significant times in their lives.
All volunteers are supported by our volunteer coordinator.
Our volunteer services are free of charge.
For further information on how the volunteer service can help you or your family member contact our volunteer co-ordinator Jane Kibble, 06 869 0552 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also speak with a member of the hospice clinical team who is supporting you.
