I was born and bred in Gisborne and am proudly Ngāti Porou.

My background is in accounting in local organisations with my current role of Internal Audit Partner at Gisborne District Council.  I am an Associate Chartered Accountant with the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants and currently on the Local Leadership Committee, a member of Ngā Kaitatau Māori O Aotearoa (NZ Māori Accountants) and also a member of the NZ Institute of Internal Auditors.

 Hospice Tairāwhiti was a huge support to me and my whānau providing solace and guidance during the terminal illnesses of both my parents. I am a proud advocate for Hospice Tairāwhiti and feel privileged to serve as a Hospice board member and as chair of the Māori Advisory Group.
