About the Role | Te tūnga
We’re seeking an experienced, people-focused Assistant Shop Manager to support our Hospice Shop operations and team of dedicated volunteers.
- Permanent/Part time: This is a permanent, part time position
- Hours: 15 hours per week (typically three five-hour days, including every second Saturday), with occasional extra hours to cover staff leave
- Location: Hospice Shop, central Gisborne
This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā takohanga
- Support the Shop Manager in leading and supporting our amazing volunteers
- Assist with day-to-day shop operations and stock handling – from donation to sale
- Reconcile daily takings, and maintain records
What We’re Looking For | Te Manako
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Strong people and communication skills
- Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
- Computer literacy (Microsoft 365)
- A full NZ driver’s licence
