We have a fantastic opportunity for a registered nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team on a part-time basis. Working in the community, this position focuses on clinical assessment and care coordination, ensuring good quality care and support for patient and family, in accordance with Hospice philosophy. The successful applicant will work regular hours (Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm) and share one-in-six weekend and after hours call responsibilities (based on current staffing levels).
This position is offered at either full or part time hours, negotiable for the right candidate. To be the right fit for this role and our organisation you will have:
- A current practicing certificate
- A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience
- Highly developed clinical assessment skills
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Proven interpersonal communication skills
- Previous experience in a hospice or specialist palliative care environment, aged residential care, or community nursing would be an advantage.
- Current full drivers licence
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
- A postgraduate qualification in palliative care, or be prepared to work towards one
