About the Role | Te tūnga
We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team. This community-based role focuses on clinical assessment and care coordination, ensuring high-quality care and support for patients and their families, in line with Hospice philosophy.
This role also has a focus on our rural patients, working in partnership with Māori healthcare providers and rural healthcare staff to promote and support the delivery of effective best practice palliative care for those in rural areas.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā takohanga
- Provide clinical assessment and care coordination.
- Work closely with Māori healthcare providers and rural healthcare staff to support best practice palliative care in rural areas.
- Share weekend and after-hours call responsibilities with the community team (currently 1 in 5).
What We’re Looking For | Te Manako
- Highly developed clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Competent in tikanga and working within Te Ao Māori
- A full driver’s license.
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
- Willingness to undertake further study.
